Avro Canada VZ-9 Avrocar

The Avrocar intended to exploit the Coandă effect to provide lift and thrust from a single "turborotor" blowing exhaust out of the rim of the disk-shaped aircraft. In the air, it would have resembled a flying saucer. https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Avro_Canada_VZ-9_Avrocar https://www.nationalmuseum.af.mil/Visit/Museum-Exhibits/Fact-Sheets/Display/Article/195801/avro-canada-vz-9av-avrocar/ https://www.theblackvault.com/documentarchive/wp-content/uploads/2015/02/080313-F-1234P-011.jpg
